Neighborhood gardening

No yard or enough space to garden at your home? Sacramento offers residents planter bed rentals in Community Gardens in all our neighborhoods. These gardens promote the identical mission of the NGAC, “to enrich the community through gardening”. Located in South Natomas, the Ninos Community Garden offers residents large sunny garden beds, shared tools on site and a perimeter fence with security gate.

The Natomas Garden & Arts Club supports the Ninos Community Garden and has occupied a 20’x20′ planting bed since 2018. Our club plot is planted and maintained by our members.

Club members and supporters are welcome to participate.  This is an excellent opportunity for NGAC members to learn and practice their gardening skills in a large and very sunny garden plot!! Hundreds of pounds of food grown here in the club’s plot have been donated each season to various local food banks.

NGAC members also provide a volunteer resource for the Ninos Community Garden’s maintenance and site clean-up  keeping the fruit tree orchards and other community shared areas well groomed and healthy.
